PC Specialties Kiln Control Software enables you to operate and manage your kilns from a desktop environment.
Our software, based on the industry standard WonderWare InTouch SCADA software package, features point and click access for
easy control and management of your kilns. Some of the features include
an easy to navigate list of your kilns and their historical logs and
easy to operate graphical representations of your kiln controllers.
Optional features include complete remote access of your kilns. In
addition, perhaps the most important feature of our software is the
fact that it is economical, a typical system is a fraction of the cost
of our competitors. Finally, our software is compatible with most
modern kiln controllers (specifically, all Partlow 7000 based kiln
control systems).
This is not a 'all the bells and
whistles', $20,000+ system. Our software doesn't automatically change
your setpoints, graphically illustrate that your fans have reversed direction and your spray is on, and
so on. For conventional kiln controllers, our software simply lets you
access historical logs for your kilns so you can see past drying
conditions as well as let you change setpoints in any of your kilns, at
any time, from anywhere in the world that has a phone line or an
internet connection. A number of additional items may be added as the customer desires.
The kiln
control window is a graphic representation of our conventional kiln
controller. Each of your kilns has it’s own window from which you can
read the current process values and enter setpoint changes. This
customer wanted some additional feedback regarding outputs and the fan
direction, as well as a vent interlock (where the heat valve is
overridden when the vents are open).

The
kiln historical log window provides a detailed view of your kilns
process values over any given period. The window is configurable, so
that you may view any period of time in any amount of detail desired.
With modern storage technology where it is at, up to 10 years of
information can be stored on a single hard drive.
Remote Access
Remote access enables you to use the kiln control software from a remote
computer over phone lines or over the internet, if you have a dedicated
internet connection which can be shared with the supervisory computer.
You can make setpoint changes and view logs just as if you were using
the supervisory computer. Excellent for kiln operators which have a computer
at home and would like to be able to check up on their kilns over the
weekend without having to drive into work.
Our
kiln control software can be interfaced with any controller we build.
