This system uses a Partlow controlled variable frequency drive to control steam pressure from a wood gasification system by proportionately feeding wood waste into the gasification chamber as the steam load varies.

The specific build shown above has an indicator for the 4-20 mA output to the variable frequency drive (VFD or 'freq drive'), and individual Partlow 1160's for the boiler pressure and stack temperature, which allows for various safeties based on a number of conditions.   It also includes a Partlow MRC 9000 VersaChart recorder for graphing the boiler pressure, refractory temperature and stack temperature on one chart, while providing the data to the supervisory computer for historical logs and remote setpoint control.
