The DH1160-2X uses two Partlow programmable process
control modules to control temperature and humidity in dehumidification
kilns.
On the humidity side, it will call for dehumidification when RH exceeds
the setpoint. A second output is used to open vents if RH exceeds
a preset maximum.
On the temperature side, the control will bring
new kiln charges up to temperature using auxiliary heat. A second
output is used to open vents if the temperature exceeds a preset
maximum. It includes switches to disable auxiliary heat and/or vents
or to force open the vents manually.
Included are indicator lights to
show conditions at the I/O terminal strip and fused circuit protection.
Refurbished DH kilns using PC Specialties DH Kiln
controllers with optional Partlow 2 pen chart recorder.
With this
dehumidification kiln controller, you use your auxilliary heat once to
preheat. Then, using Setpoint Ramping to 'allow' the temperature to rise gradually, all of the heat needed for
drying comes from the compressor. The RH transmitters in place of
the Wet Bulb sensors give precise control and outstanding results with minimal fuss.
